As you know in Greece, the sun is almost all year round. Since I live in this beautiful and sunny country permanently and in general travel a lot, my skin needs extra care and protection.
Facial care should be phased and mandatory in the morning and evening.
Here you will find my favorite products for daily skincare at home and while traveling. I use mostly Greek face care products, but also well-known brands.
A few words about the Greek cosmetic brands
These are professional Greek cosmetics, which I learned from my cosmetologist. It was love at first sight! Excellent quality of ingredients, maximum safety and effectiveness are not the only principles of their laboratories. The group of scientists has also developed a personal professional scientific attitude to research, time and diagnosis. I like all their cosmetic products, but their cleansing collection and serums are just the BEST!
Probably one of the most famous Greek brands in the international market. Born out of a Greek homeopathic pharmacy more than 20 years ago, the brand’s philosophy is rooted in the use of natural ingredients of the highest quality, skin and environmentally friendly products with clinically tested efficacy. I love their skincare collection for face and body.
Greek natural cosmetics. APIVITA combine naturally derived active ingredients, extracts from plants of the Greek nature, beehive products of high nutritional value, and organic essential oils. Its formula contains 85-100%, natural ingredients ranging and which do not contain silicones, parabens, mineral oil, propylene glycol, polycyclic musks,
Greek cosmetics, which can only be found in the pharmacy. FREZYDERM remains a close partner for many medical specialists, such as pediatricians, gynecologists, dermatologists while also enhancing its partnership with the Greek pharmacies. The company has been awarded many times by the internationally acclaimed Beaute competitions. I am delighted with their cream boosters and sun protection series.
So, let’s start!
All products below are 100% approved by me and my cosmetologist, who taught me step-by-step and the importance of everyday skin care.
Step 1. Makeup remover (every evening)
To go to bed even with light makeup, this is the main enemy of our skin, therefore, the makeup remover should be gentle and not irritate the skin.
Step 2. CLEANSER (every morning & evening)
Cleansers can be of different types ranging from milk, gel, form, cream or foliation. The choice depends on your skin type and season. Although I have a combination type of skin, it often becomes dry in winter and oily in summer, so I combine the products.
Step 3. TONER/TONIC (every morning & evening)
The toner or tonic is needed for complete cleansing of the skin; it will additionally moisturize your skin, restore pH balance and will narrow pores. I prefer to use refreshing facial tonic with a very soft formula, which is always done on a non-alcoholic basis and have a nice smell.
Step 4. SERUM (every morning & evening)
The main characteristic of serum enhances the effect of other cosmetics on the skin. The serum is a concentrate that helps the cream to be absorbed better. It is recommended to use serum and cream from ONE SERIES, then the effect will really be noticeable.
Step 5. CREAM/MOISTURISER (every morning & evening)
The main attribute of the cream is moisturizing. I usually use the same cream for day and night care, but in the summer – I prefer a cream with UVA/UVB protection. I also like night cream-masks, which I use once a week.
Step 6. EYE CREAM (every morning & evening)
The skin under the eyes is much thinner because under it there are neither muscles nor fat. That is why age-related changes on the face appear first in this area and the reason for this is often the wrong care. Therefore, the cream should be selected taking into account age-related changes.
Step 7. BB CREAM (every morning)
If my daily cream I use without SPF protection, then my BB cream is always with 30 SPF or 50 SPF. ВВ cream is a perfect replacement for foundation. It has a lighter texture that allows the skin to breathe and at the same time gives
Step 8. EXFOLIATING CREAM/SCRUB (one per week)
At least once a week, I clean my skin with a scrub. Scrubs provide literally rejuvenation of our skin due to exfoliation of dead skin or dead cells. At the same time, intensive renewal processes (regeneration) of the skin starts. It is better to use a gentle
Step 9. FACE MASK (one per week)
Mask is better to use after exfoliating cream. I prefer different masks – some to cleanse the skin, others to moisturize. In its composition, many of them contain vitamins, minerals, biologically active substances that enhance the metabolism in the skin.
Step 10. COSMETOLOGIST (ALWAYS)
Even the most thorough face home care is not enough without the help of a professional cosmetologist. Your cosmetologist should be your best friend.
In addition to the formula “cleansing – moisturizing – nutrition”, professional facial cleansing by cosmetologist is necessary twice a week. Also, special massages, deeper masks, peels and vitamin cocktails are useful for facial freshness and the right procedure that is suitable for your type of skin will be prompted by a cosmetologist only.
The results of the proper care will not keep you waiting long. Your skin will be fresh, clean, shiny, and botox with surgery will be far away from you. And so, you will not have to use Photoshop and apply different filters for selfies and during your travels to use a ton of make-up in order to look fresh. That sounds tempting, isn’t it?!
P.S Do not forget that proper nutrition, an active lifestyle and positive emotions have also a positive effect on your skin.
